Investment Associate

A leading European mid-market investor is seeking an Investment Associate to join its growing private equity team. The firm partners with management teams to support ambitious expansion strategies and has a strong track record of investing across Europe.

The Role

As an Investment Associate, you will play a key role in evaluating new investment opportunities and supporting the management of the existing portfolio. You will be involved in all stages of the investment process – from origination and due diligence through to execution and portfolio management – working closely with senior team members and portfolio company leadership.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse and evaluate potential investment opportunities across Europe.
• Build detailed financial models and conduct sector and market research.
• Support due diligence processes and preparation of investment materials.
• Assist in monitoring and managing portfolio company performance, including operational initiatives.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with management teams, advisers, and other stakeholders.

Candidate Profile

• 2–3 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity, management consulting, or a related field.
• Strong financial modelling and analytical skills, with experience in DCF and project financing techniques.
• Exposure to transactional due diligence and preparation of investment papers.
• Excellent academic track record.
• Fluency in English is required; an additional European language is highly desirable.
