You’ll ensure our homes meet Decent Homes Standards, comply with building safety legislation, and align with our Net Zero ambitions.This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll work closely with elected members, tenants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver safe, warm, and sustainable homes.Key Responsibilities:Lead the strategic asset management and building safety functions for council housingOversee capital investment programmes and ensure compliance with safety regulationsDevelop and implement the 30-year Asset Management StrategyEnsure tenant engagement is central to service deliveryManage large-scale budgets, contracts, and procurementProvide expert advice to senior leaders and elected membersDrive innovation, performance, and continuous improvementLead a high-performing team across asset strategy, compliance, and capital deliveryWhat You’ll Bring:Proven leadership in asset management and building safetyStrong understanding of housing legislation, compliance, and Decent Homes StandardsExperience managing complex capital projects and large budgetsAbility to influence at senior levels and lead multi-disciplinary teamsPassion for delivering safe, sustainable housing and excellent tenant outcomesMust have Local Government/Housing experience.If this role is of interest, please send your latest CV, availability to start, and day rate (inside IR35) to [emailprotected] no later than 9am on Tuesday 3rd June.Please note that due to the high volume of applications, only successful candidates will be contacted.
