Senior Operations Manager

We are seeking to recruit a caring and dynamic experienced Senior Manager and Practitioner to manage our services across Greater Manchester and Cumbria. This role covers a range of services including supported living for people with a learning disability, supported housing for people with mental health needs, Older Adults Care Home, and Extra Care services. You will be responsible for managing the Registered Managers across these regions, ensuring the quality of service delivery.

Applicants must have a strategic mindset and experience of leading and managing change, in addition to strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.

The role involves managing contractual arrangements with Local Authorities, ensuring contract compliance with KPIs and quality standards. You will ensure services align with Creative Support\’s ethos, values, and quality standards, fostering an open culture and promoting continuous improvement.

This role includes managing wider staff teams, ensuring recruitment, induction, training, and development of consistent teams. You will also oversee service budgets and resources, deploying them efficiently and in a person-centered manner to achieve positive outcomes for service users. Engaging positively with family members and working closely with statutory services, housing providers, and other stakeholders is essential.

The role requires extensive travel and regular overnight stays in Carlisle. A driver’s license is essential, along with flexibility and resilience.

You will attend key meetings such as contract monitoring with commissioners, support the Registered Manager with reports and action plans, and lead social care governance meetings. You will also contribute to corporate activities, including senior managers meetings, training, quality development, conferences, and corporate events.

You will be fully supported by the Service Director and a network of senior managers to share best practices and discuss issues related to CQC inspections.

Requirements: A professional Social Care Practitioner qualification, extensive senior social care experience, and excellent communication and leadership skills.
