Graduate FPGA Engineer – Space Imaging £35,000 – £40,000 + excellent bens Chelmsford, Essex (Hybrid) Space Imaging is expanding its portfolio of projects to develop Front End Electronics (FEE) systems for Space applications. These systems are being offered as a packaged CMOS detector with FEE, where the FEE will include an FPGA coded in VHDL. The new systems require high quality FPGA Designs to operate in Space with high reliability for 5-year long missions or longer. We are seeking an individual to work within a multi-disciplinary project team comprising of FPGA engineers, electrical hardware engineers, software engineers, and verification engineers. Experience: What you’ll bring: 2:1 or above in Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification and experience A solid understanding of the fundamentals of analogue and digital electronics Demonstrable passion for technology and keeping up to date with latest innovations Willingness to learn and tenacious approach to problem solving Strong interpersonal skills – to be able to converse about challenging technical topics with other engineers or non-technical customers Good documentation skills – to be able to record design solutions clearly and concisely for understanding by technical and non-technical audiences. Training and support: Full training in FGPA development, both on the job from experienced staff, who are experts in their field, and also through recognised training providers A one-to-one mentor programme to assist and guide your development as an engineer IET membership and the opportunity to work towards a recognised professional status as an engineer Challenging project work to develop your skills and experience in FPGA development
