An opportunity has arisen for a Qualified Teaching Assistant to work across a range of schools in Cardiff. These roles will cover a variety of schools across Cardiff. As this role is supply, you will be able to let us know when you are available to work, and we can arrange for you to work on the days that you tell us you can!
These roles can be a mixture of full-time or part-time and can lead to longer-term roles if desired. Duties relating to the role include but are not limited to:
- Support pupils in a class of up to 30.
- Working closely as part of a team and engaging with the class teacher to provide constructive feedback to pupils on classwork and overall behaviour during lesson time.
- Supporting the Class Teacher with planned activities and sessions.
- Helping to create and update class display boards and put together class resource packs.
To be successful in this role, it is necessary that you have experience working with children across the primary school ages. Holding a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant qualification is preferable but not essential; having relevant experience with pupils aged 3-11 is non-negotiable. Additional relevant skills include being reliable and providing a calm response whilst in the classroom. Good time management skills are also necessary for the role.
