You\’ll be the go-to person for automation solutions, working across teams to drive operational efficiency and modernize our infrastructure automation practices.About the client:My client, a Global IT services and consulting company specialising in innovative cloud services, digital transformation, IT infrastructure, and managed services to help businesses optimise and modernise their IT operations using modern and forward-thinking technology solutions.Their work culture emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and delivering value to clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment where you can take ownership of projects and work as part of a supportive team.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the go-to-point of knowledge for all things Ansible throughout a major Ansible Automation Platform ProjectLead migration efforts from Ansible Tower to Ansible Automation Platform (AAP), guiding teams through the transition processHelp users upgrade and refactor legacy Ansible 2.9 code to work with current Ansible versionsDesign and develop enterprise-grade Ansible playbooks, roles, and collectionsManage and optimize Ansible Automation Platform infrastructure including controllers, execution environments, and automation hubEstablish automation standards, best practices, and governance frameworks across the organizationIntegrate Ansible solutions into existing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflowsProvide technical mentorship, training, and support to internal automation teamsTroubleshoot performance issues and ensure security compliance in automation processesCreate custom Ansible modules and maintain high-availability automation infrastructureRequirementsExtensive hands-on experience with Ansible, Ansible Tower, and Ansible Automation Platform (AAP)Strong knowledge of YAML, Jinja2 templating, and Infrastructure as Code principlesProficiency in Linux administration, networking, and cloud automationExperience with version control (Git), CI/CD tools, and scripting (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)Understanding of security best practices, RBAC, and compliance frameworksRed Hat Certified Specialist in Ansible Automation (or equivalent certification preferred)Experience with Ansible Content Collections, Automation Hub, and enterprise DevOps environmentsExcellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication abilitiesKnowledge of event-driven automation and ITSM tool integration is a plusTo be considered, please ensure you complete your application on the Computappoint website.Services offered by Computappoint Limited are those of an Employment Business and/or Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
