The Senior Counsel (Europe) will provide legal support from InterSystems’ UK office for the European region.
Job Responsibilities:
- Work out of the Windsor, UK office
- Responsible for a variety of legal issues affecting InterSystems in the region, as assigned, including:
- Software licenses, solution agreements and other customer contracts
- Non-disclosure agreements
- Teaming agreements
- Consulting agreements with independent contractors and associated statements of work
- Vendor compliance with InterSystems’ policies
- Employment matters
- Real estate matters
- Corporate maintenance in local jurisdictions
- Regulatory compliance
Job Qualifications:
- Qualified legal practitioner with a current practicing certificate
- At least 5-8 years of relevant legal experience required
- Experience with large government procurements, preferably in healthcare
- Software or other high-tech experience required, healthcare experience a plus
- Proven ability to effectively manage outside counsel
- Experience working on legal projects from a variety of regions
- Experience with contracts and legal issues in Germany and France a plus
Required Skills:
- Sound decision making skills, business acumen, and legal judgment
- Ability to vary communication style to effectively communicate locally and with non-native English speakers
- Ability to triage multiple demands and shifting priorities
- Ability to work remotely and independently from the head office and legal department in the dynamic, fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment of a privately-held company
