Bentley Systems seeks a Senior Application Engineer to work in a customer-facing role alongside a team of sales and technical colleagues. They will provide the technical expertise required to win new business and increase usage in existing user organisations. The Senior AE is a trusted advisor responsible for assessing prospects’ business and technical requirements and developing solutions that meet those needs.
Your Day-to-Day:
- Maintain expert level of product knowledge
- Articulate technology and product positioning to both business and technical users
- Perform value and benefit-oriented technical presentations of Bentley products and solutions
- Prepare and deliver both overarching solution demonstrations and bespoke tailored demonstrations for prospects or during marketing events
- Work with the wider sales team to identify and analyse business issues and opportunities
- Assist Business Development and Sales personnel in technical proposal development
- Provide experience and knowledge of user requirements to help product management design and develop new products and services
- Develop standard demonstration sets and content for selected products
- Knowledge transfer to partners and strengthening Bentley ecosystem
This is a full-time role based at home, in a UK Bentley office, or hybrid to suit your preference. Travel within UK and Europe up to 25% of the time on average.
What You Bring To The Team:
- Full professional proficiency in English; any other European language is a plus
- 5+ years of experience managing ProjectWise, BCDE, iTwins, or similar systems
- Presentation skills and public speaking experience are desirable
- Comprehensive understanding of electronic document management, especially in engineering design
- Familiarity with relational databases, including administration, operation, and maintenance with Microsoft SQL Server
- Excellent writing skills, responsible for white papers and communication of product details
- Ability to communicate value and benefits to audiences of all levels
- BIM digital workflow experience
