About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and driven Headteacher to lead a well‑established SEN school in the Reading area. This is a rare opportunity to shape the future of a dedicated provision supporting children with complex needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall strategic direction of the school
• Ensure high‑quality teaching and learning for all pupils
• Support staff development and foster a strong, inclusive culture
• Work closely with governors, parents, and external agencies
• Drive continual improvement and maintain high standards of safeguarding

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in an SEN setting
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Deep understanding of SEND frameworks and current educational legislation
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills
• Commitment to achieving the best outcomes for every child
