Job Purpose: To deliver high-quality electrical design work for a range of engineering projects by integrating electrical design activities with other technical disciplines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and produce electrical design documentation using PDMS, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office in line with project requirements. This includes:
- Modelling of E&I equipment (cable trays, supports, lighting, etc.) in PDMS/E3D
- Cable tray and cable routing drawings
- Equipment layout drawings
- Lighting calculations and layouts
- Electrical cable schedules
- Hazardous area schedules
- Single line diagrams
- Earthing drawings
Required Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in PDMS/E3D, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of electrical installation design and documentation.
- Experience with E&I modelling including cable trays, supports, and lighting systems.
- Ability to interpret and produce technical documents to high standards.
- Strong collaboration skills across engineering disciplines.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in documentation.
- Adaptable to changing project requirements and technologies.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines and priorities effectively.
Qualifications & Experience:
- HNC in Electrical Engineering (minimum); HND or Degree preferred.
- Proven experience in electrical design within an engineering environment.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles, PDMS/E3D modelling, and lighting calculations.
- Willingness and ability to work abroad when required.
