Job Summary

To support the strategic goals of AVEVA, the role of Senior Capability Owner – Salesforce, in Global Business Operations is tasked with owning capabilities of the Salesforce Platform, with specific focus on CPQ, in driving the Lead to Contract Journey, ensuring that Strategic Platform changes which support our Commercial Organisation are understood and adopted Globally. This role will provide dedicated ownership and focus on the management and development of the AVEVA Salesforce platform, with specific focus on CPQ. The role ensures that the platform delivers World Class Capabilities which support AVEVA Sales Policies and Processes.

Key responsibilities
  • Delivery and adoption of World Class Salesforce Platform Capabilities which fully underpin AVEVA Sales Policies and Processes.
  • The primary owner of business requirement definitions, roadmap development, and articulation for all stages of the implementation of Salesforce and CPQ Platforms.
  • Implementation of Platform Developments which enhance the Lead to Contract Journey and heighten Business Productivity and Proficiency.
  • Co-ordinate and develop the Customer Journey roadmap working with the Group Process Owners across the end-to-end business processes.
  • Owns the prioritisation and timing agenda for the business in consultation with Key Business Stakeholders.
  • The business lead, working with IT, on the consolidated change management governance process and owner of scheduled release activity.
  • Sets clear expectations for the delivery of new business functionalities including data requirements with business stakeholders.
  • Clearly articulates and communicates Business Impacts to the Senior Sales Leadership team.
  • Leads the implementation of new programmes to enhance the end-to-end customer journey.
  • Collaborates with IT in the planning, budgeting, and management of spend for business tools, and is the owner of business benefits definition and realisation of new capabilities as required.
  • Ensures systems reporting capability meets business stakeholder requirements to allow for the effective management of business outcomes from the end-to-end business processes.
  • Will also work closely with IT and the business program teams to manage operation, development, testing and changes to the platform.
Performance

Ensures that Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) and Performance Indicators (PIs) are agreed and aligned between Business Operations, IT, and the Business.

Skills, know-how and experience
  • Customer and business focused platform owner with a deep understanding of the end-to-end Policies and Processes required to manage the development of global platform capabilities that support the global AVEVA organisation.
  • Demonstrated Experience in managing the Salesforce | CPQ platform, and a detailed understanding of CPQ and associated business impacts.
  • A clear understanding of the drivers and requirements including an understanding of ‘what best practice looks like’ anchored on Salesforce and specifically CPQ Capabilities.
  • Demonstrates a sound knowledge and experience of commercial management including external and internal business cases and managing internal operational budgets.
  • Change and communications management – understanding and ability to assess the impacts of platform changes for sales and associated downstream business owners and be able to communicate clearly and concisely benefits in business terms.
  • Experience in managing Stakeholder Requirements and Expectations.
  • Experience of defining, owning, and embedding consistent CRM/CPQ and CLM processes across a large global organisation.
  • Strong domain knowledge and implementation experiences with supporting tools for end-to-end Business Process Management.
  • Ability to communicate clearly at a leadership level and also content to operate at grass roots level.
  • Able to operate comfortably at a detailed as well as a strategic level.
Technical / professional qualifications

Degree in Business, Marketing, IT, or Equivalent Professional Experience.
