This is an opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety Manager to take ownership of safety performance at a large, high-risk operational site in North London. As a key member of the site leadership team, you’ll influence behaviours, raise standards, and play a central role in shaping a strong, forward-thinking safety culture that supports operational excellence and future growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and embed a positive, high-impact Health & Safety culture, acting as a visible and influential member of the site leadership team.
  • Drive compliance through targeted audits, inspections, and performance monitoring, turning data into meaningful improvements.
  • Lead incident, near-miss, and hazard management in partnership with the central SHEQ team, ensuring lessons are learned and applied.
  • Deliver engaging Health & Safety training, coaching managers and teams to take ownership of safe working practices.
  • Own critical site safety systems, including fire safety, contractor control, and traffic management arrangements.

About You

  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) as a minimum, with solid experience in a Health & Safety leadership role.
  • Background in manufacturing, logistics, or other high-risk operational environments.
  • Confident, credible leader able to influence at all levels and challenge unsafe behaviours constructively.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and drive practical, site-based solutions.
  • Organised, resilient, and calm under pressure, with excellent communication skills.
