HSEQ Manager

Home Based – Travel across Midlands, North West, and Northern Region

£50,000 – £55,000 plus package

We are looking for an experienced Health & Safety professional to join a specialist civil engineering & highways principal contractor, to lead the Health & Safety across the Northern region across the UK. This position will report into the Head of HSEQ and will be a hands on position but also support with the implantation of the HSEQ strategy across site teams.

The HSEQ (Health & Safety) Manager will be responsible for:

  • Leading the Health & Safety team and promoting a positive health & safety culture
  • Responsible for providing accurate data to leadership and using the data to make improvements for the future
  • Creating and implementation of a 5 year health & safety strategy
  • Leading on incidents and accident investigations when required.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to operational staff, acting as the ‘competent person’ for HSEQ

The HSEQ (Health & Safety) Manager will have:

  • 5 years' experience working in Health & Safety
  • Previous experience working in civil engineering, highways would be desirable
  • NEBOSH Certificate minimum, ideally working towards a Diploma or equivalent
  • Happy to work in a home-based position with travel across a large region.
