The Opportunity

Yolk Recruitment Public Sector & Not-for-Profit team has partnered with a unique civil service organisation. Their highly specialised focus leads to very interesting roles with a huge scope for learning and development. We are supporting them to recruit a database administrator who has experience with Oracle or SQL server and is interested in building and supporting cloud based data platforms. This role will require Developed Vetting so the successful candidate will have to be a sole UK National and comfortable undertaking the Developed Vetting process. This is an excellent opportunity.

What the Database Administrator will be doing:

  • Providing support and system admin tasks for both live and test environments for on-prem and cloud databases.
  • Investigating, diagnosing and resolving complex problems.
  • Analysing issues to provide long term fixes.
  • Supporting the database infrastructure using Windows Server.
  • Defining and maintaining system documentation.
  • Ensuring database continuity.

What the successful Database Administrator will bring to the team:
