This hands-on role is focused on the development and fabrication of high-performance exhaust systems, including manifolds, catalytic converter housings, and mufflers. The successful candidate will demonstrate extensive experience in metal forming, welding, and precision fabricationof stainless steel and titanium components, especially in a prototype environment.Key ResponsibilitiesFabricate bespoke and prototype exhaust componentsincluding manifolds, catalysts, and mufflers from scratch or from verbal instruction.Accurately interpret engineering drawings and CAD data, while also working without drawings when required.Roll cones, develop flat blanks, and hand-form sheet metal.MIG and TIG weldstainless steel and titanium to a high standard, with fine aesthetic and structural quality.Weld in inert atmosphere (glovebox)where required for titanium components.Operate fabrication equipment including sizing machines, rolling machines, seam welders, …
