About The Role
Our Global Procurement Team supports the wider business in procuring goods and/or services to enable the organisation’s daily operations. Using effective business partnering, we support the delivery of commercial value while achieving improved service and effective supply chain risk management. Occupying a key position in the Procurement team, you will need to develop an understanding of our business and suppliers to maximise performance and efficiencies. You should be able to communicate and influence at all levels within Aberdeen and with external third-party suppliers. You will work closely with SRMs and key business partners to share knowledge, experience, and expertise related to standard methodology. You will coordinate procurement activities for important projects and apply strategic procurement techniques to improve value for Aberdeen. You will also contribute SME procurement input to develop Category Strategies.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Support procurement plans aligned with Aberdeen’s strategy and business needs.
- Ensure security of supply, regulatory compliance, quality, service, and value delivery.
- Develop and implement procurement systems to address business challenges and maximize value.
- Lead procurement initiatives such as Tenders, RFPs, and negotiations.
- Provide SME input for Category Strategies.
- Collaborate with global heads and stakeholders to manage supplier relationships and mitigate third-party risks.
- Stay informed of market developments to support risk management and competitive analysis.
- Deploy modern procurement techniques and support the development of the global procurement function.
