Amazon Freight Europe is looking for just such an owner to lead the inbound product strategy for our externalized freight business to design and deliver a world class freight experience for our business customers.
The Head of Inbound Product Strategy will report directly into the leader of the Amazon Freight Europe business to revolutionize the inbound product that we offer to customers across Europe (including UK). They will be based in Luxembourg, London, Madrid or Munich to tackle the most hotly debated topics within our startup organization. They will partner closely with Product, Program, Operations and Commercial leaders to identify the challenges and opportunities in our organization, and come up with creative, customer-driven solutions to solve them. The Head of Inbound Product will work closely with the Product team to influence our product buildout while supporting our Commercial team in customer pitches and internal influence, diving deep with leaders across multiple areas to define customer problems and deliver the solutions.

You’re a leader with a blend of strategy, product management and/or commercial experience and have the business acumen to understand and shape Amazon Freight's business-wide roadmap. You achieve your results through other people, often without authority, making complex decisions simple through data and inspire people at all levels in the organization. You proactively identify gaps and risks, and partner with senior leaders in and out of the organization to define creative solutions to solve them. You embody the rare combination of thinker and doer.
- Influence wider Amazon teams to secure collaborative, efficient solutions for our customers, re-using existing capabilities wherever possible.
- Build long term product plans, working alongside our product team, who specifies new products and features, our tech team that builds them, our operations that deliver them, our commercial team that sells them as well as the Amazon Freight teams outside EU.
- Stay close to the operational realities of our business, recognizing that what we will build has its foundation in the work of our Associates and partners on sites and in vehicles.
- Develop and build relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and responsiveness of existing operations, and help define new operational strategies by working with EU AF Director and other executives on special projects.
A day in the life:
- Build relationships with our customers (shippers).
- Coach and mentor business developers within the team.
- Define business development KPIs targets and manage performance against these KPIs.
- Dive deep into shippers' requirements and opportunities.
- Partner with Product, Program, Operations and Commercial teams to oversee strategic business initiatives from development through to successful execution, ensuring that individual function targets are in harmony and resolving those that aren’t.
- Support colleagues in their decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation, calling out opportunities to double-down and the unseen risks.
- Improve current processes and review organization-wide product features and efficiency.
- Influence customers.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Experience building and leading large teams and have worked in matrixed operating structures.
- Experience working and communicating with multiple stakeholders, C-level executives and cross functional teams or equivalent.
- Experience in strategic thinking about business, enterprise software products, and new technology platforms and architectures or equivalent.

- Experience managing and developing high performance teams.
