Job Description: Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst
Location: Central | Department: Data & Insights | Type: Full-time | Hybrid Working Available
Our financial services client is looking for an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to help drive data-informed decision-making across the business. This is a hands-on role with high visibility, where you'll collaborate directly with teams across the organisation - from HR to Technology - to shape, deliver, and evolve our reporting and analytics capabilities.
You'll play a key role from initial requirement scoping through to dashboard delivery, tailoring your approach to the audience while promoting BI best practices across the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead scoping sessions to gather and define reporting and data needs with stakeholders
- Translate business requirements into effective, scalable BI solutions
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations using Power BI, SQL, and DAX
- Adapt communication and delivery to suit varying levels of technical understanding
- Support and enhance existing BI solutions based on user feedback and evolving business needs
- Collaborate with other BI team members to improve shared processes and standards
- Manage relationships and ad hoc requests from business users
20-30% stakeholder engagement, with the remainder focused on hands-on analysis and reporting.
What We're Looking For:- Proven experience as a Business Intelligence Analyst
- Advanced skills in Power BI, SQL, and DAX
- Strong team collaborator - you've worked within BI teams (not as a sole contributor) and helped drive shared performance and practices
- Comfortable navigating different business areas, especially where technical understanding varies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience in financial services or other regulated industries
- A degree from a Russell Group university or equivalent, showing strong analytical and problem-solving ability
- Demonstrated success in driving adoption of BI tools and self-service reporting across diverse business teams
