The Role

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management including stock control, procurement, and supplier relationships.

  • Inventory Management: Develop and implement strategies to optimise stock levels and minimise excess inventory. Conduct regular stock audits. Monitor inventory turnover rates and identify opportunities to improve efficiency.
  • Procurement: Source and purchase automotive parts from various suppliers, negotiating favourable terms and pricing agreements. Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships. Analyse market trends and product availability to mitigate supply chain risks.
  • Stock Control: Track movement of parts, monitor stock levels, and prevent stockouts. Coordinate with sales and operations to forecast demands and adjust inventory levels. Implement measures to reduce stock shrinkage and identify causes of discrepancies.

The Candidate

  • A proven background in inventory, supply chain, or procurement roles.
  • Previous experience in the automotive parts industry, such as within a motor factor or multi-franchise dealer parts operation.
  • A first-class understanding of supply chain principles, inventory control, and procurement strategies.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills to influence stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • An analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
