We are seeking a Level 2/3 Practitioner for a preschool that has a passion for fostering creative learning styles that challenge children’s way of thinking. With over 45 years experience of providing high quality and affordable child care, the nursery offers the very best facilities and parental support for children aged 0-11 years from a large modern purpose built centre in Croydon. The nursery practitioner's aim is to stimulate children’s imagination, discovery and creativity by extending classroom teachings into the everyday outside environment.

Duties:

  • Support and encourage children to make their own choices, empowering them to be independent learners for when outside of preschool.
  • Observe, analyse and create progress reports in relation to the Early Years Foundation Stage.
  • Respond to each child’s emerging needs and interests via clear and concise communication.
  • Encourage children to communicate daily through warm and positive interactions.
  • Planning and guiding children’s activities by reflecting on the ways different children learn and practice.
  • Promote social time by interacting with other children during lunch and play breaks.
  • Observe children’s behaviour and progress when performing activities and report.
