About the role
This role involves generating long-term manufacturing footprint plans for Finished Goods across product categories and sites. It is a key interface between Category Supply, Manufacturing Sites, and Network Development. The successful candidate will analyze RCCPs to understand capacity bottlenecks, generate strategies to resolve supply constraints, and communicate effectively with stakeholders such as Category Supply, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Leadership. The Category Planner projects capacity challenges over a 3-5 year horizon, ensuring risks are visible and mitigation options are incorporated into the supply plan. Collaboration with the Network Development team to generate scenarios and options is essential.
Responsibilities
- Create and validate a 5-year demand, market trends, and category growth plan in partnership with Category Marketing and Finance.
- Review and verify long-term site plans against commercial assumptions.
- Analyze and validate site capacity assumptions, including OEE and maintenance schedules.
- Communicate and escalate projected long-term constraints.
- Facilitate visibility of capacity and supply risks, leading teams to develop solutions.
- Implement and track category allocations as needed.
- Lead reporting and analysis of portfolio complexity with the category supply team.
- Review and validate CAPEX investment recommendations with planning, supply, and manufacturing leadership.
- Ensure the long-term supply plan meets volume requirements and customer service standards.
- Maintain strong collaboration and communication with key stakeholders.
- Manage and analyze large data sets from multiple stakeholders.
- Participate in strategic modeling sessions with senior leaders.
- Prioritize projects, communicate effectively, manage stakeholders, and track value.
Experience and skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and challenges.
- Experience in category supply management and/or demand/supply planning.
- Ability to analyze long-range forecasts and make strategic decisions.
- Knowledge of supply chain dynamics and best practices.
- Proficiency in handling large, complex data sets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to derive actionable insights from data.
- Experience in factory operations or planning is advantageous.
