Job Description:
Long-term locum position in a cleanroom-style warehouse environment with the UK’s largest homecare pharmacy dispensing site. Ideal for pharmacists looking for part-time work (Wed & Thurs, 14:00–22:00). Open to newly qualified applicants.
The Homecare Pharmacist is responsible for:
- Physical checking of all prescriptions and orders (PD, HHD and Nutrition MCB) that contain POM & P (Prescription Only Medicines & Pharmacy medicines) and ancillary items before their dispatch from NDC to patients
- Ensuring that pharmacy patient dispensing processes are compliant with:
- GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council)
- RPS (Royal Pharmaceutical Society)
- Pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Good Documentation Practices (GDP)
- Good Warehousing Practices (GWP)
- Corporate Quality Manual & ISO standards.
Education:
- Membership of GPhC
- Masters degree in Pharmacy (MPharm)
Experience:
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Experience in supervising staff
- Expert knowledge of good dispensing and distribution practice
- Ability to deal with unpredictable workload
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to work under a changing shift pattern
