Job Type: Part-time (Temporary)

2 days a week, 8.30-5pm with a 30 min lunch on a Thursday and Friday.

Temporary sickness cover for 1 month initially but may be extended.

We are seeking a Medical Secretary for sickness cover, initially for 1 month with the possibility of extension. This role requires working Thursdays and Fridays from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the NHS, particularly with SystmOne and Lexacom.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Handling referrals into secondary care.
  • Managing correspondence and preparing letters.
  • Transcribing dictations from doctors using Lexacom.
  • Ensuring all communications and records are maintained accurately and confidentially.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Medical Secretary, ideally within the NHS.
  • Proficiency in using NHS systems such as SystmOne and Lexacom.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake a Basic DBS check.
