We are looking for appropriately qualified individuals who possess the relevant ACS qualifications. You will be required to have good leadership skills and experience of gas heating and boiler installations ideally gained in a housing/building environment.
We are looking to recruit an effective, efficient and customer-focused engineer to undertake the installations of gas central heating systems. Your main role will be leading an installation team, carrying out the installation of central heating systems. However, you may be asked to carry out other duties which may include diagnosing problems and rectifying faults, undertaking gas services and general plumbing works when and where required.
What you will do:
- Full and partial domestic central heating installations; including Unvented Hot Water systems in domestic properties offering excellent customer service on every job.
- Undertake domestic heating & plumbing duties including reactive repairs/maintenance, and servicing of appliances.
- Issue notices and certificates required by the relevant regulations.
- Adhere to manufacturer's instructions when servicing, repairing or installing appliances.
- Attend appointments as scheduled and instructed.
- Maintain compliance with Gas and H&S regulations and internal policies and procedures.
- Complete all work to a high standard, on time and within budget.
- Manage stock from authorized suppliers and manage materials required in order to undertake work.
The successful candidate will:
- Be appropriately qualified with the relevant ACS qualifications.
- Have experience of gas heating and boiler installations ideally gained in a housing/building environment.
- Demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations, H&S legislation and asbestos awareness.
- Hold a full UK driving license.
This role will require you to be part of our on-call rota, covering the geographical patches of Rhondda, Cynon and Taff; therefore, you will have the mobility to work within the RCT locality.
The successful candidate will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
