About the role
The position offers the opportunity to:
- Apply your experience and knowledge to the design of tailings and waste rock facilities.
- Actively contribute to growing the size and developing the technical capability of the mine waste team.
- Have a high degree of autonomy in managing your workload and receive recognition for your contributions to multi-disciplinary projects.
- Help deliver projects and develop new business in Spain and Latin America.
- Work with an experienced team to provide support as a mine waste specialist within a multi-disciplinary team for complex projects.
- Develop relationships with existing clients and establish new ones to grow the business.
- Establish and enhance your reputation among international professionals, with potential to become a recognized leader in mine waste within a diverse, international business.
About you:
If you believe this is your next career move, we would love to hear from you. You should be able to demonstrate:
- A relevant Geotechnical qualification, either Chartered or eligible.
- Specialism in Tailings Engineering with significant experience within a Geotechnical Consultancy.
- Ability to lead projects from concept to implementation and advise clients.
- Fluency in French or Spanish, with excellent report writing and communication skills in English.
- Leadership and mentorship abilities, with experience managing geotechnical and multidisciplinary projects.
- A full UK driving license.
It would be advantageous if you also have:
- Knowledge of mining standards like GISTM, ANCOLD, CDA.
- Experience in water management and water balance modeling.
- Experience with geotechnical software such as GeoStudio or Plaxis.
- Experience as Deputy Engineer of Record or Deputy Designer for tailings facilities.
