Power BI/Reporting Services Developer (Basildon)

Key Responsibilities:1. Report Development:o Design, develop, and maintain SSRS reports connected to SQL Server databases. o Create and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports for management and business intelligence.2. Automation and Efficiency:o Assist in automating the process of passing parameters to Reporting Services using predefined templates. o Develop procedures to generate a large number of reports from already transformed datasets for partner reporting.3. Migration and Onboarding: o Aid in migrating current reporting processes to more efficient, automated systems. o Assist in onboarding new reporting requirements for new partners.4. Data Analysis:o Utilize SQL to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets, ensuring data integrity and quality.5. Collaboration and Communication:o Work closely with the Partner Reporting Lead and other team members to understand and deliver on reporting requirements. o Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide status updates.6. Documentation and Best Practices:o Document reporting processes and solutions. o Adhere to best practices in data visualization and reporting.Required Skills and Experience:• Experience:o Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or Reporting Services Developer. o Proficiency in SQL and experience with SQL Server. o Strong experience with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and report server. o Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).• Advantageous Skills:o Experience with Microsoft Fabric.Additional Skills:• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • High attention to detail and commitment to data quality. • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
