Salary: up to £32,000 per annum DOE
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 08.00-18.00.
Key Duties of a Sub Contract Planner:
- Plan and allocate set lanes to hauliers.
- Rate jobs on GTS and ensure haulier costs are correct.
- Advertise work on TWS system.
- Arrange live loads for hauliers.
- Complete jobs on GTS to allow for Stobart invoicing.
- Implement subcontract strategy based on forecasted volumes.
- Manage haulier issues and communicate these to Stobart departments such as CS, central and planning.
- Update hauliers documents to ensure 100% legal compliance.
- Report POD discrepancies and returns that may arise to reduce the company’s liability of losses.
- Take on additional work from 3rd party hauliers to reduce empty running on Stobart Fleet.
- Support Central Team as required.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience within a similar role.
- Knowledge of the Logistics and Transport industry.
- Knowledge of GTS is desirable.
- Demonstrable planning and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communicator, with a strong knowledge of Microsoft systems.
- Able to work under pressure and collaborating with a range of departments across the business, from Planning through to Forecasting.
- IT Literate including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
