Plant Manager

Reports to: Area Asphalt Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure compliance with all company and statutory Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, fostering best practices across the team.
  2. Deliver exceptional customer satisfaction by providing top-tier service for both collections and deliveries.
  3. Oversee the efficient operation and maintenance of all assets to maximize productivity and manage costs within established budgets.
  4. Plan and implement both preventative and unplanned maintenance to ensure smooth site operations.
  5. Actively manage and motivate plant staff daily, emphasizing individual development through support and tailored training initiatives.
  6. Maintain comprehensive administrative records across various business areas, including Health, Safety, and Environment; Personnel; Sales; Procurement; Quality; and Energy Management.

Required Skills:

  1. Experience in quarry or coating plant operations.
  2. Proficiency in electrical and mechanical maintenance programs.
  3. Skilled in IT systems, particularly SAP.
  4. Strong interpersonal, communication, and people management abilities.
  5. SHE NVQ Level 4 certification completed or in progress.
  6. Current and organized personal Continuous Professional Development (CPD) folder.
