Principal Firmware Engineer

T2M Resourcing is working with a growing technology and manufacturing business to recruit a Principal Firmware Engineer to lead automotive software development and validation activities.

As a Principal Firmware Engineer, you will specialize in developing embedded software within AUTOSAR and MISRA-C requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Develop embedded software for automotive and aerospace products.
• Mentor and lead technical teams.
• Utilize tools such as CANope and CANlyser.
• Configure software using ETAS ISOLAR.
• Collaborate with Systems and Electronics Teams to align software development with product requirements.
• Conduct code reviews with software and test teams.
• Coordinate with Software Test Engineers for planning and executing tests.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Expertise in embedded/firmware software development.
• Leadership skills and ability to set an example.
• Knowledge of AUTOSAR and MISRA-C standards.
• Experience in automotive/aerospace software development processes.
• Proficiency with development tools such as MATLAB/Simulink, Embedded Coders, ETAS ISOLAR, and CAN.

This role is based in Milton Keynes and offers a hybrid working arrangement with up to 2 days remote work per week.
