Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machinery used in the production process. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, as well as the ability to assemble components and troubleshoot equipment issues. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical skills, including proficiency in CAD software and experience with tooling and welding.

Duties

  • Operate and monitor machinery to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Assemble components according to specifications, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Utilise SolidWorks and CAD software for design modifications and improvements.
  • Perform welding tasks as required, adhering to safety protocols.
  • Maintain tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Conduct routine inspections of machinery and perform basic maintenance tasks.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise production workflows.
  • Use hand tools effectively for assembly and repairs.
  • Apply basic maths skills to measure and adjust components accurately.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to logic controllers and other mechanical systems.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Machine Operator or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex machinery.
  • Familiarity with tooling processes and techniques is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and CAD software is desirable.
  • Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations are essential.
  • Experience with welding techniques is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work effectively in a warehouse setting, demonstrating attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and logical thinking abilities are crucial for success in this role.
