Role: Site Manager – Social Housing Retrofit Works Location: St Ives & Surrounding Area Package: £50,000 – £55,000 (Basic Salary) + Package Spencer & James are recruiting a Site Managerfor a leading Tier 1 contractor to deliver a Social Housing Decarbonisation Fund (SHDF) scheme in St Ives & surrounding area. Youll be at the forefront of this scheme, managing the roll-out of External Wall Insulation (EWI), Solar PV panels, and Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) as part of the journey to net zero. What youll be doing: Running day-to-day operations on-site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and to high quality standards Coordinating teams of subcontractors, operatives, and suppliers to keep everything on track and running smoothly Reporting on progress, flagging issues early, and ensuring clear communication with the wider project team Handling all documentation and handover with precision to support timely invoicing and strong cash flow Attending inspections and providing practical input into design solutions for planned retrofit works What youll bring: Proven experience as a Site Manager deliveringsocial housing planned maintenance or retrofit works (Solar PV Installation) Hold relevant qualifications – CSCS Black Card, SMSTS, First Aid at Works Confident leadership skills and a proactive, hands-on approach Strong communication, problem-solving, and organisational skills Solid IT knowledge including Word, Excel and Outlook A keen eye for safety, quality and compliance from start to finish This is a brilliant opportunity to make your mark on some of the UKs most forward-thinking retrofit projects.
