Working on a range of industry leading schemes, they operate within a range of sectors, including education, healthcare, leisure, retail and residential. The majority of their workload is refurbishment, and they are most prominent in the retail sector.

The role - Cost Manager
You will be joining a team and will enjoy working in a collaborative working environment in a modern, open plan office. You will focus on works for 1 large retail client undertaking refurbishment and fit out works. Office based in the main, out seeing clients roughly once a week.
Job Objectives:
- Establishing friendly, professional relationships with clients and be an extension of their team
- Subcontractor tendering and reviewing costs.
- Providing accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
- Pro-actively monitoring and managing cost variance and contract cash flow and ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
- Collaborating with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control, and value engineering.
- Ensuring that final accounts are negotiated and agreed.
The right person - Cost Manager
You will be an experienced Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor from a consultancy or main contractor background. Refurbishment experience is key, (walls, ceilings, floors, M&E). You will ideally have retail experience but this is not essential. You will be used to working at pace on fast turnaround projects.
