Citrus Recruit are excited to be recruiting for a Workshop Manager with a leading national/international transportation company. As a Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring that all maintenance, repairs, and inspections of HGVs and other vehicles are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will lead a team of technicians, manage workflow and scheduling, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement in processes and service delivery.
Responsibilities & day to day duties
- Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring high performance and motivation
- Oversee all HGV maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
- Ensure compliance with DVSA and health & safety regulations
- Schedule workloads and manage priorities effectively
- Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers/customers
- Maintain workshop standards and ensure equipment is properly maintained
- Monitor performance, KPIs, and workshop efficiency
Skills & experience required
- Proven experience in a similar role within a commercial vehicle or HGV workshop
- Strong technical background with relevant HGV qualifications
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
- A hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and develop a team
- Strong understanding of compliance, health & safety, and DVSA regulations
