Citrus Recruit are excited to be recruiting for a Workshop Manager with a leading national/international transportation company. As a Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring that all maintenance, repairs, and inspections of HGVs and other vehicles are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will lead a team of technicians, manage workflow and scheduling, maintain compliance, and drive continuous improvement in processes and service delivery.

Responsibilities & day to day duties

  • Lead and manage a team of technicians, ensuring high performance and motivation
  • Oversee all HGV maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and repairs
  • Ensure compliance with DVSA and health & safety regulations
  • Schedule workloads and manage priorities effectively
  • Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers/customers
  • Maintain workshop standards and ensure equipment is properly maintained
  • Monitor performance, KPIs, and workshop efficiency

Skills & experience required

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a commercial vehicle or HGV workshop
  • Strong technical background with relevant HGV qualifications
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • A hands-on approach with the ability to motivate and develop a team
  • Strong understanding of compliance, health & safety, and DVSA regulations
