Part of a major international engineering group, this organisation is setting up a new division to design & build turnkey automation & robotic systems for manufacturing clients throughout Europe. Project Manager – Turnkey Robotics & Industrial Automation Salary: £(phone number removed) + benefits Location: West Midlands (commutable from Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Kidderminster, Stafford, Walsall, Telford, Shrewsbury areas) As a Senior Project Manager you will be responsible for overseeing successful execution of multiple turnkey automation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget and to customers technical specification. Duties: o Lead the management of designated projects, delivering agreed objectives including revenue, timing and deliverables, taking a project from conception to completion and escalate issues as they arise o Support initial feasibility reviews, validation of quotations and development of project budgets and timing for plant based activities. o Develop and maintain project plans, timescales & budgets leading to successful completion and buy off o Follow the business process to realise programme delivery and identify areas of improvement Identify areas of change to work scope and control via change management Experience: You will already have significant experience in a Programme Manager or Project Manager capacity within the industrial control systems & automation, robotic application or automotive OEM facilities. o Proven ability to lead and motivate cross functional teams delivering high value turnkey projects o Setting up full development plans from concept to production with associated gateways/ KPI trackers, maintenance of timing and cost plans o Knowledge of complex industrial automation, PLC / HMI control systems, MES, robotic and tooling projects utilised in automotive / high volume manufacturing processes such as BIW welded assemblies, product assembly & test, powertrain assembly, EV/ battery tray build etc o Analytical with good judgement, commercial business sense and problem solving skills o Relation builder with good communications skills with both internal and external stakeholders o Structured worker with good time management and project management ability o Able to travel extensively mainly across Europe to visit customer premises The opportunity: This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Project Manager, Programme Manager or Engineering Manager to be part of a brand new venture and influence the grown of the operation.
