Position : Hydraulics Design and Development EngineerLocation : West YorkshireSalary : £40,000-£70,000Hybrid : No, this is an on-site positionVisa Support : Possible sponsorshipOpportunity for a Mechanical Design and Development Engineer with experience of high pressure hydraulic systems to join a market leading organisation. Experience of 450 bar pressure plus is preferred. Experience of fluid power systems, high pressure hydraulics, pump design and development is essential. Proficiency with a 3d CAD package is essential – SolidWorks, Solid Edge or Autodesk Inventor preferred but any package is okayExperience or understanding of FEA and CFD is beneficial Degree level qualification is essential as is proven professional experience. We cannot consider people who only have academic experience. Visa support may be available for people who are able to demonstrate 5 years + professional experience. Design and development of hydraulic components and systemsCreate detailed 3D models and 2D drawings using advanced CAD softwareUtilise simulation software such as CFD and FEADesign systems that optimise energy consumption and performanceWork with remote monitoring and associated sensors and hardwareUnderstand fluid power application requirements in various markets.Assist production in analysing failures to determine root cause and identify opportunities for improvement.Develop test procedures and conduct prototype validation testing.Work with manufacturing partners and vendors to develop and update production processes and specifications to ensure quality and performance of components.
