Job overview
BEH are the designated lead provider for the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training on Learning Disability and Autism, engaging with the North Central London Regional working group to ensure the implementation and roll out of standardised training is achieved consistently.
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a diverse team with professionals from various health and social care organisations, supporting the creation and delivery of this project across NCL, reaching circa 80,000 colleagues.
This role will play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering the roll out of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training programme effectively.
You will raise awareness of the statutory requirements of the programme, supporting clear communication and the efficient delivery, control, planning, and reporting of this initiative.
Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic expertise to proactively support the delivery and implementation of this major change activity and initiative, focusing on the human behaviour and people impact of change.
- Provide professional support, expertise, and management of the project and workstreams, ensuring they are set up appropriately, equipped with the right resources, and aligned with the projectβs vision and objectives.
- Lead and focus the project team, communicating proactively with key stakeholders to ensure the project is managed according to best practice standards, with risks managed and benefits realized.
- Plan and monitor overall progress to ensure project milestones are met across various workstreams.
- Develop and provide project management support to build competencies within the NCL ICS.
- Collaborate with the Head of Learning & Development to support the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training programme, building relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

Qualifications/Registrations
- Educated to degree level.
- Additional training or significant experience in project management and change management processes.
Skills and Abilities
- Experience in Project Management within large organizations, ideally in people or organizational change projects. Skilled in stakeholder engagement, communication, report writing, presentation, and managing projects effectively. Capable of analyzing information, pre-empting issues, and recommending actions. Strong communication skills for complex and sensitive matters. Relationship nurturing and network maintenance skills. Problem-solving abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Excellent written communication skills.
- NHS experience and experience managing budgets are desirable. Project Management Training is preferred.
Experience/Knowledge
- Understanding of NHS cultural, quality, and workforce challenges. Experience in managing large-scale projects, particularly in health or social care sectors. Skilled in planning, managing, and monitoring projects. Collaborative stakeholder engagement experience. Knowledge of quality improvement techniques and system redesign for efficiency. Understanding of technology in education and training within NHS contexts.
