This role involves working with a diverse team of professionals from various health and social care organisations to support the creation and delivery of this project across NCL, reaching approximately 80,000 colleagues. The Project Manager will play a vital role in shaping and delivering the effective roll-out of the Oliver McGowan Mandatory Training programme, raising awareness of statutory requirements, and supporting communication, delivery, planning, and reporting of the initiative. Main duties of the job Key Responsibilities Provide strategic expertise to support the delivery and implementation of this major change activity, focusing on human behaviour and the impact of change. Support, manage, and oversee the project and workstreams, ensuring proper setup, resources, and alignment with the project’s vision and objectives. Lead the project team and communicate proactively with stakeholders to ensure project standards, risk management, and benefit realisation. Plan and monitor overall progress to meet project milestones across various workstreams. Develop and support competencies within the NCL ICS through project management. Collaborate with the Head of Learning & Development to support the training programme, building relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Person specification Qualifications/Registrations Degree-level education. Additional training or significant experience in project management and change management. Skills and Abilities Experience in project management within large organisations, especially in change projects involving people. Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills. Proven success in managing projects and programmes efficiently and effectively. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. IT literate, proficient in Microsoft Office. NHS experience and project management training are desirable. Experience/Knowledge Understanding of NHS challenges related to culture, quality, and workforce. Experience in managing large-scale projects across health and social care sectors. Knowledge of quality improvement techniques and system redesign. Understanding of technology\’s role in education and training in the NHS. Personal Qualities Self-management, emotional intelligence, and leadership skills.
