Job Description:

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who can bring proven expertise to this space. We are very interested in skills that would support current business initiatives in circularity of resources, carbon management and net zero and the impacts of changing chemical legislation on business.

Through your work you can help us to achieve being WRc’s objectives, including ‘becoming consciously sustainable’ and ‘being a great place to work’.

Key Responsibilities

• Liaising with clients to understand their needs, identify opportunities and lead development of proposals
• Leading and providing technical support for consultancy projects
• Performing data analysis and modelling and preparing interpretative reports to share findings with clients
• Contributing to wider service offerings including cross-WRc and cross-RSK
• Contribute to the development of business plans and new business offerings
• Provide mentoring and training to junior colleagues to support and inspire their technical development

Person Specification

• Significant experience in the waste and resources sector
• Degree in a STEM discipline, preferably an environmental or chemical science and ideally a waste and resources linked MSc or PhD
• Proven skills in client contact, and proposal and report writing
• Able to lead, motivate, willing take ownership of issues and seek team participation to achieve best solutions

Salary and Benefits

• Up to £60,000 depending on experience
• Potential for promotion to Principal Consultant
