Your role as a Principal Process Engineer at Johnson Matthey may involve early-stage proposal design, preparing process design packages, supporting customers in startup and optimization, as well as process improvement and R&D for next-generation technologies. Your responsibilities: Develop new process technologies in collaboration with Engineering and R&D teams. Lead major engineering projects, setting scope, schedules, standards, and objectives. Provide technical interface with key clients, evaluating the impact of Johnson Matthey solutions. Lead resolution of technical issues within technology for complex problems. Demonstrate innovation and creativity, addressing risks and recommending changes to senior management. Identify and propose new technologies for competitive advantage. Support technical knowledge sharing within the department to meet business needs. Requirements for the role: Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent; Chartered status preferred. Significant relevant experience at Principal Process Engineer level. Proven process engineering design experience considering safety and environmental aspects. Proficient in engineering software such as Hysys, ProII, Aspen+. Self-motivated, proactive, with high achievement drive and initiative. Customer-focused with the ability to respond to needs while achieving project and corporate goals.
