We are seeking Youth Mentors for our new Youth Endowment Fund (YEF) contract. Your role will involve fostering positive relationships with young people, providing guidance, support, and promoting social development.

You will work with disengaged and ex-offending young people, aiming to reduce first-time offending and prevent further offending. This includes mentoring, offering support, and attending programmes with them.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering engaging presentations and building relationships with stakeholders (parents, caregivers, students, young people).
• Establishing trusting relationships through active listening, empathy, and respect.
• Planning and implementing individual action plans and interventions to promote personal growth, leadership, and community involvement.
• Attending residentials throughout the year with the young people you support.

You will be based in the West Midlands and should be able to commute easily between locations.

Requirements:

• Experience working with offenders or individuals with complex needs.
• Experience delivering services in one-to-one and group settings.
• Experience in target-driven environments with a track record of exceeding targets.

Knowledge of the criminal justice system and legislation related to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act is desirable.
