Principal Engineer - Javascript - London

Responsibilities:

• Architect and develop scalable and performant mission-critical web applications for front-end and API development.
• Mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance on best practices, design patterns, and coding standards.
• Drive a culture of quality and innovation, advocating Extreme Programming methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in Agile processes, and conduct code reviews.
• Utilize strong debugging skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in both front-end and back-end systems, including internal and third-party systems.
• Experience working on cloud platforms, with knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) being advantageous.
• Familiarity with e-commerce platforms and solutions is highly desirable.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their impact on product development.
• Champion continuous improvement, performance optimization, and security throughout the development lifecycle.

Skills:

• Experience in technical decision-making, guiding teams to propose solutions that implement standard methodologies for maintainable products.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and mentor engineers.
• Experience in QSR, Retail, or E-commerce industries is a plus.
