Description

The role is based within a busy team answering queries from learners, staff and external customers. The role includes reception, switchboard, enrolment, admissions, administration and financial support. The successful candidate will be required to work dynamically to meet deadlines, keen eye for detail and good IT skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • To deliver a high standard of customer service and administrative support for the College in line with the service outline.
  • To ensure that the Student and College Service is of a high quality and fully meets the needs of the customers.
  • To promote the provision of the Student and College Service to all users.
  • To develop and maintain the knowledge required to advise customers on elements of the service delivered (e.g. curriculum provision, financial support, DBS, learner eligibility for enrolment).
  • To ensure that College standards are worked to and maintained (e.g. Matrix and Key performance Indicators).
  • Ensure continuous development and improvement of personal professional knowledge.
  • Any other duties of a similar level of responsibility as may be required.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Qualifications
Essential Criteria

  • Educated to a minimum of level three qualification.
  • Minimum of level two English and Maths qualifications.

  • Experience of being multi-skilled and working flexibly in order to respond to changing priorities.

Specialist Knowledge
Essential Criteria

  • Knowledge and understanding of the college business (e.g. structure, curriculum).
  • Knowledge of administrative, customer service and quality standards.
  • Ability to work with learners and understand the issues facing different groups of learners.
  • Knowledge of college systems and processes.
