Job Title: Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapist

Location: St Helens, Merseyside

Banding: Band 6 or Band 7

Start: ASAP

Duration: 3 months

Rate: £24 – £32 per hour

Working hours: Full time / Part time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for experienced Band 6 and Band 7 Paediatric Community Speech and Language Therapists to join our dedicated client’s team in St Helens. This role involves providing specialised speech and language therapy services to children within the community. The successful candidates will work collaboratively with families, schools, and healthcare professionals to support children\’s communication needs.

Responsibilities include:

• Assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders in children.
• Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans.
• Monitoring progress and adjusting interventions as needed.
• Providing training and support to parents and educators.
• Conducting home visits.
• Maintaining detailed records of therapy sessions.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participating in service development initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent.
• HCPC registration.
• Extensive experience in paediatric speech and language therapy.
• Strong knowledge of child development and communication disorders.
• Proficiency in assessment and intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a community setting.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
