Skilled Labourer (Dodington Park Estate)

Dodington Park Estate is on the boundary between South Gloucestershire and the county of Bristol balanced on the Cotswold Escarpment. At the centre of the estate is Dodington House an 18th Century Georgian mansion which is currently being used as a private home.

We are looking for a Skilled Labourer (initially up to one year Fixed Term Contract) to join the team. When you come to work at Dodington Park, you\’ll be joining a team of dedicated employees who work towards the renovation and maintenance of the house and surrounding estate, where we always strive to achieve the highest possible standards of work and craftsmanship.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

• General site duties
• Assisting groundworkers with external works
• Moving materials within the Estate and to other locations
• Assisting in the collection of goods, including from building suppliers
• Assisting other trades as required
• General site cleaning
• Uphold and maintain Estate Values.
• Proactively promote and maintain high standards across the Estate
• Any other ad hoc duties

Person specification

• Valid driving license
• Ability and qualifications to operate a telehandler
• Ability and qualifications to operate a forward tipping dumper
• Experience in servicing multiple trades within the building/construction site environment
• Excellent organisational skills
• Computer literate
• Professional manner.
• Confident communication skills
• Proactive and flexible approach to work
• Willing to take responsibility and ownership for tasks
• Strong sense of discretion, appreciating the confidentiality of the work.
• Ability to work autonomously whilst possessing strong teamwork skills
