Monarch Education are actively recruiting a Specialist Mental Health Worker. This role could be a Temp to Perm position for the right candidate.

These exciting opportunities are both full-time and long-term. The school settings are friendly and culturally have a family-oriented environment, offering support and guidance. Hours vary from 8:00 to 15:45 (depending on the school), Monday to Friday, term-time only.
The schools are ideally looking for behaviour mentors who understand and have experience working with special educational needs, with children or adults. For the right candidate, this position will go permanent, with a start date as soon as possible.
In these environments, you will support students aged 2-16+ with various SEND needs, including autism, global delay, profound multiple learning disabilities, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional mental health needs. Your role will involve supporting students alongside the classroom teacher to boost attainment and aid their social and educational development. You will also help maintain discipline in line with school procedures and promote good practice with pupils.
Suitable Candidates Can Be Any Of The Following
- Qualified Teaching Assistants
- Experience with speech and language therapy, for children or adults
- Previous experience as a probation officer
- Healthcare, support, or social work experience
- Graduates in Acting, Music, Performing Arts, Psychology
- Experienced SEND Teaching Assistants or Learning Support Assistants
- 3-6 months experience working with children
- Sports coaching background
- Available to start full-time immediately

Requirements
- Right to work in the UK
- One recent child-based reference and relevant DBS/Police checks (support available for DBS application)
Experience working with children in educational settings, such as nurseries, schools, SEND, or youth services, is preferred.
