Part Time Bookkeeper Job in Lymington Dovetail Recruitment are excited to be recruiting for a new Part Time Bookkeeper to join a steadily growing company based in Lymington. This is a great opportunity to join a successful, fast-growing SME which specialises in the design, sourcing and manufacture of bespoke packaging and merchandise for major brands in the health and beauty industry. Our client is looking for an experienced bookkeeper to join their growing team and offer support within the accounts department. You will need good communication skills, be well organised and have excellent attention to detail. The role will include providing support with accounts payable and receivable. In addition to this, there will also be such duties as data entry, responding to emails, maintaining accurate records and files, and other general administration duties. Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks is key. Responsibilities: Finance * To assist with each stage of the sales order process, * Managing the Client’s purchase order and any updates thereof * Creating draft invoices which meet the specific requirements of each Client * Credit control * Liaising with Clients to provide supporting documentation, responding to finance queries * To assist with each stage of the purchase process, * Managing Supplier purchase order and any updates thereof * Paying deposits which meet the specific agreements with each Supplier * Making final payments to Suppliers * Ensuring the correct Duty and VAT are paid * To assist with monitoring & maintaining comprehensive business cashflow forecasts in multiple currencies. * To assist with maintaining, a comprehensive business budget forecast and comparison. * Data entry of financial transactions and balancing ledgers * Assist with bank reconciliation: cross referencing the accounts against bank statements and other source documents to confirm accuracy * Assist with monthly reporting * Assist with budget preparation and preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports * Assist in preparing HMRC/VAT returns Administration * Manage day-to-day office operations, including ordering supplies, handling mail, filing documents and coordinating office activities. * Act as the first point of contact for all office-related inquiries and liaise with the management team to ensure a smooth workflow. * Provide administrative support to the wider team, handling ad hoc tasks as required. Minimum Experience Requirements: * A high level of numeracy skills, minimum 5 GCSEs to include Maths & English to Level 4 or above. * Strong Excel skills * Experience in Sage would be a bonus, but not essential * AAT qualification or similar would be a bonus but not essential Salary and Benefits: * Salary circa £28-30,000 PA, depending on experience * 22 days holiday + bank holidays * Free parking on-site * 2-3 days per week – 9am – 5.30pm This Part Time Bookkeeper Job in Lymington would suit candidates who have previous experience within a finance assistant role, or accounts environment.
