About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Legal Counsel to provide expert employment law advice and solutions. This role involves advising on complex contracts, employment-related matters, and ensuring compliance with new legislation. You will collaborate with HR to provide legal training and support on employment law and HR policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide effective legal advice on employment law to internal stakeholders.
  • Manage legal advice on employment-related matters including ER issues, HR policies, Employment Tribunal claims, TUPE, industrial relations, and more.
  • Advise on collective employment matters such as consultation procedures, restructuring, and redundancies.
  • Support the business with the introduction of new legislation for compliant processes and risk management.
  • Collaborate with HR to provide legal training and raise awareness on employment law and HR policies.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Degree in Law or equivalent.
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister with at least 3 years of post-qualification experience in employment law.
  • Broad knowledge and experience of employment law and practice.
  • Strong skills in negotiation, drafting, legal analysis, and problem resolution.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
