Are you a passionate Senior Support Worker within a children\’s home looking to make your next career move? I am partnered with a client who has newly opened a children\’s home. After leading a successful recruitment campaign and placing their Registered Manager, they are now ready to further build the team and are looking to recruit an experienced team leader.

This company provides great support for all their staff and I have come to know this as their agency partner.

About the Role:

  • Develop safe, professional, supportive, and nurturing relationships with the children.
  • Build meaningful relationships with children, supporting them to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Provide a safe home that meets the needs of all our children.
  • Be a great team player, we want a team to bring the best out in one another.
  • Act as a role model, fostering a positive and caring culture within the home.
  • Follow the PACE model promoting therapeutic relationships between adults, children, families, and professionals involved in the children\’s care.
  • Ensure the home operates in line with Ofsted regulations and safeguarding guidelines.
  • Contribute to care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour management strategies.
  • Build positive relationships with all professionals involved in a child\’s care and advocating on behalf of the child when needed.

About You:

  • Minimum of 18 months experience working within children\’s residential care.
  • Holds or is working towards a Level 3 / 4 in Children & Young People or equivalent.
  • Willing to enrol on Level 4 or Level 5 if applicable once passed probation.
  • Has a solid understanding of safeguarding, child protection, and relevant legislation.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving abilities.
  • A passion for helping children build brighter futures.
  • Holds a Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Has a valid, enhanced DBS check in place issued no more than 2 years prior.
