We are seeking a skilled and motivated Bid Writer to lead the creation of high-quality, winning public sector bid submissions. Working as part of a central business development team, you will play a key role in developing competitive proposals that support service delivery in areas such as business support, skills, and employability. This is a hands-on, home-based role with occasional travel to Manchester, ideal for a self-starter with excellent writing and project management skills.
Duties:
- Manage and lead the production of winning bids and proposals across public sector markets.
- Lead storyboarding, drafting, editing, and submitting EOIs, SQs, ITTs, and final tenders.
- Work closely with stakeholders across departments, including solution design, finance, and delivery teams.
- Provide constructive feedback to colleagues and continuously improve proposal content.
- Coordinate bid production through all stages, ensuring alignment with bid governance processes.
- Support business development activities, including customer engagement, supplier meetings, and dialogue phases.
- Maintain a library of high-quality written content, including method statements and best practice responses.
- Monitor upcoming tender opportunities and keep informed on relevant market intelligence.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing large-scale, winning public sector bids.
- Strong bid writing, editing, and communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
