I've partnered with a leading entertainment brand who are looking for a production finance specialist/financial controller to join the team until the end of the year.
Pay Rate: £288.46 per day via UMBRELLA COMPANY
The Production Finance team is responsible for estimating, managing, and providing insights on production costs throughout the entire lifecycle of each project. The team partners with various stakeholders e.g. Production Management, Tax, VFX, Music and third-party production companies, ensuring compliance with financial standards, UK laws, and government regulations. This role supports the UK slate, coordinating with production partners and also managing our inbound self-managed shows.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyse and review production budgets and cost reports throughout the project lifecycle.
- Communicate with third-party production companies to track financial variances and address discrepancies.
- Align with Studio stakeholders to manage production processes and implement cost controls.
- Serve as a liaison between production partners and internal teams, ensuring smooth financial workflows.
- Support partners in implementing new procedures and adjusting to evolving financial workflows.
- Ensure that all productions comply with UK laws, local production practices, and government regulations.
- Maintain knowledge of payroll, tax, banking, and invoicing processes specific to the UK market.
- Identify and suggest improvements in financial workflows to optimize operational efficiency.
- Continuously seek innovative solutions to enhance production finance processes.
Experience: 5+ years of finance experience within the film, TV, production industry, or media sector.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial applications such as Excel/Google Sheets is essential.
