We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Machine Operator with expertise in manual grinding. As a crucial member of our team, you will play a vital role in the process of repairing and servicing aerospace components.

Responsibilities:

– Operate and oversee manual grinding machines to repair and overhaul aerospace components.

– Perform precise grinding operations to achieve specific dimensional requirements.

– Expertly handle various tools and equipment related to manual grinding, similar to those used by a toolmaker.

– Read and interpret technical drawings and other specifications.

– Conduct quality checks to ensure the accuracy and quality of the finished product.

– Adhere to all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organised work environment.

– Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and other team members to ensure efficient operations and timely completion of tasks.

– Provide suggestions for improving processes and optimising workflow.

Requirements:

– Proven experience as a Machine Operator, specifically skilled in manual grinding operations.

– Proficient in operating and maintaining manual grinding machines or similar equipment.

– Knowledge of grinding techniques, tools, and measurements, similar to that of a toolmaker.

– Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.

– Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision.

– Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.

– Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.

– Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work in a team environment.

– Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.

– Prior experience in the aerospace industry is preferred but not essential.
