You will play a crucial part in team development, work on exciting projects, prepare tenders, compare supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, and prepare detailed cost estimates. As a Senior Estimator, you must possess strong technical skills in using estimating software and Microsoft Excel. The role will suit an estimator who is dynamic and willing to get involved with the early implementation of processes. You will provide knowledge of costs and benefits that support profitable business decisions, whilst successfully securing contracts for the business to deliver. About the role General management of Estimating Team; Monitor enquiries within the company and speak directly with customers and end users; Prepare quotations which incorporate pressing, fabrication, machining, and subcontract work; Work from customer drawings to produce detailed quotations; Produce accurate and detailed manufacturing cost estimates generated from detailed client manufacturing drawings; Attend in-house project meetings when necessary to enable the successful and cost-effective running of enquiries; Be mindful of deadlines and achieve where possible, keeping all involved informed of delays. About you Highly literate and numerate, commercially astute; Confidence to deal with decision makers and customers directly; Proficient in using CRM and CAD software and other sales tools; A flexible approach to adapt to changing and challenging requirements; Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels; Ability to remain focused on Quality and consistently reiterate its importance to others; Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas.
